COLLEGE OF BUSINESS AND ACCOUNTANCY

 

GOAL

          The College of Business and Accountancy aims to prepare students for professional careers in accountancy, business administration and hotel and restaurant management and make them ready to deal effectively with problems they may encounter as professional businessmen and accountants and as responsible citizens.

OBJECTIVES

Specifically, the College of Business and Accountancy seeks to produce graduates who have:

  1. acquired excellent education at internationally approved standards to enable them to make successful managerial decisions at required levels of managerial competencies;

  2. built professional value system necessary to conduct business and take decisions according to high ethical standards of business conduct;

  3. developed a deep sense of social responsibility and entrepreneurship in meeting the global demands and challenges in the field of business;

  4. enhanced information technology skills in all fields of business;

  5. developed research capabilities that will enable them to enhance the quality of business education in the country;

  6. inculcated values and attitudes for the development of responsible citizens and a strong sense of national pride and environmental concerns; and

  7. exemplified the qualities of Responsible and competent, Compassionate and Committed graduates as bequeathed by RCC.

 

 BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ACCOUNTANCY

 GOAL

            The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program commits itself to the total development of professional leaders in the field of accountancy who are imbued with ethical ideals and dedicated to service.

OBJECTIVES

Specifically, the graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy should have:

  1. acquired sufficient knowledge and skills to think analytically, critically and   objectively to become mentally disciplined;

  2. a strong foundation in other fields related to accountancy such as (1) taxation, (2) business law, (3) economics, (4) management, (5) finance, (6) marketing, and  (7) information technology applied in business globally; and be capable of addressing problems they will encounter as professional accountants;

  3. developed the values of honesty, objectivity, fairness, and concern for others which are being integrated in the various fields of accountancy;

  4. adhered to ethical standards set forth by the accounting profession; and

  5. developed a sense of  pride in their identity as a Filipino and become an agent of national development.

 

DESIRED PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The graduates should be able to:

  1. articulate and discuss the latest development in the fields of accounting;
  1. communicate effectively with stakeholders both orally and in writing;
  1. employ technology as a business tool in capturing financial and non-financial information, preparing reports and making decisions;
  1. demonstrate working knowledge in the areas of financial accounting and reporting, cost accounting and management, management accounting, auditing, accounting information system, taxation and accounting research;
  1. work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;
  1. appraise ethical problems/issues in practical business and accounting situations and recommend appropriate courses of action that adhere to the professional code of ethics;
  1. preserve and promote historical and cultural heritage particularly Kapampangan heritage; and
  1. demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility, and exercise high personal, moral and ethical standards. 

 

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

GOAL

            The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program has for its goal excellence in business education.  The institution believes that sufficient knowledge through competent faculty, adequate facilities and control must exist to ensure that  students be transformed into professional businessmen in the future.

OBJECTIVES

Specifically, graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration should have:

  1. imbued the values of diligence and industry, honesty and objectivity, mutual trust and concern, discipline required to become productive individuals of society;

  2. developed resourcefulness, creativity and social responsibility to enable them to understand the importance of their would-be roles in the business world and their obligations to society;

  3. acquired broad academic background in the major fields of business namely: (1) management (2) finance and accounting (3) marketing (4) economics and (5) information technology to enable them to think critically, analytically and make sound judgments;

  4. realized and manifested understanding that the progress of a country depends on the optimum utilization of its capital, natural resources, technology and human resources; and

  5. gained the necessary competence for employment and entrepreneurship, and have acquired the ability to identify business opportunities, to organize, start and run a business enterprise needed in a growing economy.

 

DESIRED PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The graduates should be able to:

  1. articulate and discuss the latest development in the fields of marketing;

  2. communicate effectively using both English and Filipino, orally and in writing;

  3. use the proper decision tools to critically, analytically and creatively solve problems;

  4. use information and communication technology effectively and efficiently;

  5. implement the basic functions of management such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, leading and controlling;

  6. identify the basic concepts that underlie each of the functional areas of business (marketing, accounting, finance, human resources management, production and operations management, information technology, and strategic management) and apply those concepts to business operations;

  7. work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;

  8. identify unmet or under-served ethical service and product needs of specific customers groups and markets;

  9. preserve and promote Filipino historical and cultural heritage particularly Kapampangan heritage;

  10. specify the service and/or product value contributions of the company which address identified needs of customers; and

  11. demonstrate corporate citizenship and social responsibility, and exercise high personal moral and ethical standards.

 

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOTEL AND RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT

GOAL

The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management program aims to educate students in the arts and science of hospitality management, from a multicultural perspective, by providing them with the resources, professional knowledge, management skills, and thorough understanding of the premium service concepts in hotels and restaurants and instill in them high standards of excellence for the performance of their professional responsibilities in the local and international sectors of the industry.

The Bachelor of Science in HRM aims to prepare students for professional careers in hospitality and tourism management by providing theory-based instructions and practical experience.

OBJECTIVES

       Specifically, the Bachelor of Science in HRM aims to produce graduates who have:

  1. developed analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills to enable them to meet the challenges not only of the industry but also of their personal life;

  2. developed the managerial skills, abilities and competencies essential to all professional managers, with specific characteristics needed for managing hotels, restaurants and related operations;

  3. acquired the right attitudes, moral values, and ideals that will enable them to perform their professional responsibilities for the well-being of the general public;

  4. demonstrated skills in resource management, human relations, leadership, communication and info technology;

  5. demonstrated commitment to customer service in the hospitality industry, understanding its uniqueness and responsibility for self - direction, self-evaluation and lifelong learning;

  6. manifested the commitment to contribute to the growth of the industry and provide service to the society and economy; and

  7. developed a deep sense of patriotism and appreciation of the Filipino culture and national identity.

 

DESIRED PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The graduates should be able to:

  1. articulate and discuss the latest development in the fields of hospitality and tourism;

  2. communicate effectively with stakeholders both orally and in writing;

  3. employ information and communication (ICT) technology skills in all hotel and restaurant activities;

  4. demonstrate working knowledge in all the functional areas of hotel and restaurant and apply those concepts to hotel and restaurant activities;

  5. work effectively and independently in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams;

  6. appraise ethical problems/issues in hospitality and tourism industry and recommend appropriate courses of action that adhere to professional code of ethics;

  7. employ premium service concepts in hotel and restaurant and observe high standard of excellence in the performance of responsibilities;

  8. preserve and promote historical and cultural heritage particularly Kapampangan heritage;

  9. specify the service and/or product value contributions of the company which address identified needs of guests; and

  10. demonstrate a deep sense of responsibility in meeting the demands and challenges in the field of local and international hotel and restaurant industry.
