July 27, Saturday, marked this year’s annual Junior High Acquaintance Party themed “Meeting the Horizon through Waves of Fun and Fantasy” at the RCC Quadrangle.

With Hawaiian theme-decorated students from the Grade 7 Warriors down to the Grade 10 Conquistadores, the Junior High filled the venue with colors and yells during the drizzly afternoon of the day. The program unfurled with the booming battle cries of each grade level and the ceremonious unfolding of banners, not to mention a mascot competition.

The activity also included fun raffle draws, class picture-takings, a Fashionista ramp, and group presentations. The later part of the program was filled with lights and sounds as the dance floor was opened for the evening disco party.

Two weeks after this, it was the turn of the Senior High School to have their own annual acquaintance party.

Themed, “Stripes and Patterns: Celebrating Oneness in Different Views”, the Senior High Acquaintance Party also had its own contests and gimmicks such as the traditional battle cry. Banners for each strand were ceremoniously unfolded with their mascots making their ways in the crowd of cheering students.

A Mr. & Ms. Fashionista also occurred on the stage, along with a performance presentation from each strand. Raffle draws and intermission numbers were also held in entertaining the students and the teachers alike.

The light rain did not stop the students to swarm and heat up the dance floor afterwards.

The two activities were both organized, hosted and made possible by the High School Student Council, the combined force of the Junior High Student Council and the Senior High Student Council, led by their Chairpersons, Chynna Nicole Datu and Hermarie P. Vinoya, respectively; together with Mr. Mark Lourenze M. Cunanan and Ms. Micah P. Viloria, the advisers of the council, and Dr. Shirly D. Lazatin, the principal of the High School Department.
