The Council of Deans for the Colleges of Education (CDCE) Region 3 will hold its first Regular Board Meeting on August 8, 2017 (Tuesday), 9:00 AM at the Seminar Room, Republic Central Colleges, the host institution.  Dr. Charito R. Wui, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education of RCC, also the Founding Chair of the Council in 1997 is the incoming Chair of the new set of officers for 2017-2019.  Dr. Flordeliza A. The Junior High student Council (JHSC) welcomes July with three activities and programs aimed at fostering solidarity, leadership, and stewardship among the studentry, namely the 2nd RCC Junior High School Congress of Leaders, The RCC Junior High School Acquiatnce Party and the Oplan RCC: BalikKalinisan Project (BKP). The Research & Development Center (RDC) of the RCC held its annual professional development of both teaching and non-teaching personnel to enhance their research capability and productivity on April 18, 20, 25, & 27, 2017.           The Republic Central Colleges Library is envisioned as the prime mover in the building of a culture of learning that facilitates the School’s commitment to academic excellence. It serves as an intellectual scheme in encouraging creativity and innovation among students for them to become productive citizens.

 

MISSION

        The RCC Library supports the educational program of the school by providing responsive service, accessible resources and programs that facilitate effective utilization of information and knowledge technology.


GOALS

  1. Support the curricular program and contribute to the learning process, and to promote educational growth of the clientele;
  2. Organize and maintain all sources of information for their effective and efficient use;
  3. Teach and encourage the proper use of the facilities and resources of the Library; and
  4. Provide an ambiance ideal and conducive to study and reflection.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Acquire up to date books and other library resources in line with the curriculum, needs, interests, and abilities of the students;
  2. Develop students’ skills and resourcefulness in the use of books and libraries;
  3. Encourage life-long education through the use of library resources;
  4. Monitor and evaluate the requirements of the students and teachers, continually;
  5. Improve the physical layout;
  6. Keep abreast with the new trends of delivering library information and services through the use of technology;
  7. Improve budget allocation;
  8. Improve the facilities and equipment according to Deped and accreditation standards; and
  9. Ensure that the library collection is made easily accessible to users through the proper description, display and circulation of the collection.

 

LOCATION

          The College Library is located at the 5th floor of Our Lady of Fatima Building.

          Service Hours:

                    8:00 AM - 6:30 PM     Monday to Friday

                    8:00 AM - 5:00 PM     Saturday
